How to Use Il Piccolo Sommelier

Step-by-Step Instructions

Aerate your wine like a pro
UNBOX & ASSEMBLE

Gently remove from packaging. grab the cork and glass aerator. Gently twist down the large cork onto the curved stem. Push until the lip of the stem meets the tip of the cork. Do not use excessive force. 

HOLD CORRECTLY

Grasp by the large cork attached to the curved stem, not the delicate glass barrel.

INSERT

Insert Il Piccolo Sommelier® into wine bottle by firmly twisting it down. Rotate and push until it is snug and flush to the top of the wine bottle. Never push down on the barrel of the aerator.

TILT & AERATE

Hold the wine bottle along your forearm with your hand firmly holding the top of the bottle. Tilt it down on a 45 degree angle. Pouring will automatically stop once the aerator is full.

POUR

Make sure the aerator’s long pouring stem is positioned upward. Once ready to pour, simply tilt it down and pour the wine into a wine glass. Makes a perfect 6oz. pour every time.

AFTER POUR CARE

You may keep the aerator on your wine bottle by plugging the small cork into the pouring stem. To clean, do not use soap. Only rinse with water and let dry on the provided drying stand.

Fragility Alert

Handle with care. The glass sphere and stems are delicate and may shatter if mishandled, increasing the risk of injury.

Cleaning Caution

Avoid soap and dishwashers. Rinse Il Piccolo Sommelier with water and let it air dry on the provided stand.

Proper Use

Gently slide the large cork onto the curved stem, not the straight one, to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Best Practices

Extra Support

If your cork does not feel snug into the wine bottle, you can position your hand on top of the bottle with the cork between your index and middle finger for extra support.

No Pressure

Il Piccolo Sommelier® is very fragile. Never put pressure on the barrel or any stem as it may result in injury.

Care for Your Cork

Be gentle with your cork. If it gets damaged, lost, or worn out, you can purchase a new one.
